Here's another image from Wednesday's photo walk with the Leica M9 that was conducted by the new Leica Store in downtown D.C.
I was actually going to post a different image today from the walk, but Justin Stailey, Leica Product Specialist, posted a similar shot and after some back and forth looking between mine and his, I decided his was better. So go check out "Arm Candy" on his awesome street photo blog "Just Shoot Don't Think".
The first Leica store in the United States officially opens today in Washington, D.C. Yesterday, they offered a 2 hour photowalk for a few folks which served as an introduction to the Leica M9 and quick primer on street photography. The image above was shot with one of their M9 loaners. Three Leica employees joined the attendees on the walk and they were all extremely knowledgable about gear and technique. More importantly, they were really personable, friendly and helpful. The Leica DC store has lots of cool events planned and they plan to really focus on developing a DC area community of Leica users. If you have the chance, stop by and check them out. They are located at 977 F Street, NW, Washington, DC, 20004.
