Hyattsville, MD. (Assignment 3, Color Print #2, Scan)

This image is the first color print I ever made. It was done for assignment 3 in my color class at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C. We were told to pick an object and make a study of it. I chose a shed. Five rolls of film later, I believe this is one of the best shots of the bunch. I still have lots of other shots to print with the enlarger so there may be more interesting ones that surprise me from the contact sheets.
I have to say, printing color photos by hand is hard work. I have a new found respect for photographers practicing their craft in the pre-digital era. This probably took me about an hour and half to get it where I wanted it to be. Hopefully, I can speed this process up as I get more accustomed to the equipment. I am starting at ground zero here as I have absolutely no previous lab experience.
Also, I have a lot of slide film from Assignments 1 and 2 that I am dying to post but the folks who developed this film and ran the scans messed them up badly and I don't have a scanner of my own. Thankfully they are now working on scanning them for me, so I hope to post a select few within the week.
